Joy bank will be carrying out the next donation to mantralaya and affected people near mantralaya. We need donations as well as volunteers in large amount. We can also carry out the donation in north karnataka villages if we can raise sufficient funds. Members can donate money or used clothes which are in good condition which can be shirts,sarees,dresses etc.

Successful Completion of 2nd Donation in Banglore

Joy Bank Group has successfully completed the donation to Desire Society , Banglore on 19th July 2009. It was a wonderful experience to all the members who had assembled for the event. As it is rightly said, "The virtues of donations are great because it helps the needy and at the same time it gives an opportunity to the donor to give the surplus to the people in need. It helps the needy to sustain himself. This was indeed an opportunity for all the joy bank members to spread joy and happiness to all those lovely, innocent children.

We reached the society at 11 am. We had a warm welcome from Mr Subhash who is one of the founder members of Desire Society. He explained to us about his motivations and working of the society. DESIRE Society is a non-profit voluntary organization established in the year of 2003 , keeping an objective of health development and well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA).

Total of 10 joy members were present on the event day.

We Distributed eating stuff, cold drinks and chocolates to the children. All children were delighted to see us and were very friendly, full of energy. They introduced themselves one after other. I truly believe that happiness comes to those who are moving towards something they want very much to happen. And it always involves making someone else happy. All the members were spellbound by the activeness of these children.

After finishing their snacks , it was a round of talent. Children sang and danced and we too followed their tunes.Joy members kept encouraging the kids with their lovely comments and gestures. It really feels blessed to have such members in our family.

After the talent round was the time to play!!!! Joy members and desire kids had a lovely time playing cricket..All were back to their school days for that moment...

It was one of the most memorable days in our lives. It was a lovely experience . Our hearts were full of delight.. Before saying good bye, it was a very lovely gesture from 2 of our joy members(Venkatesh & Vijay) to take the kids along with them on rides rather i would say "joy rides". You must have seen the satisfied faces of the kids. I have truly started believing that In helping others, we shall help ourselves, for whatever good we give out , completes the circle and comes back to us.It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed.Do lend a helping hand to all those who are less blessed.

Hello joy members,
As we are done with our first donation we now need to focus on our second. 50% of our members are from banglore hence it would be good if we schedule our next event in banglore itself. I need your suggestions ,views about our next event. Members can come up with names of orphanages,blind schools they have been across.
Joy bank group is a family. We all need to interact with each other for more ideas . Only then our goals can be achieved. Till now it was a one to one interaction between me and the other member. But i suggest we all interact with each other so that we feel AS A FAMILY.
post in ur comments and opinions. There are 43 members in our family now. Lets all be a team and achieve our objective. Because i believe that " What is important is not how much we do , but, how much love we put in doing it".

first event- Shantayee vriddhashram

Hello friends,this is to inform u all that joy bank is making its first donation on 8th of January to shantayee vriddhashram. This vriddhashram is located near VTU belgaum. The ashram includes 8 grandmas and 8 grandpas, a cook and a manager. We are going to arrange a function for these people on 8th. 8th being a holiday we hope to see you all in a large number.

The donation will be made in the form of new sarees and shirts.You can contribute a saree,a shirt or minimum of 150 rs, using which we will purchase on your behalf. In case you vcannot handover the amount directly you can do internet money transfer. In case of money donations all receipts will be mailed to you so that you know your money is put to right use.
Your presence will be the lucky charm for these people.This being the first event of joy bank ,it needs full support from all its members. In case you cannot make yourself available on 8th we will mail you a detailed report along with photographs.Hope to make this event a memorable one to all those grandmas and grandpas.GOD BLESS ALL.
